Shortcake with Plums


  1. Flour 600 grams
  2. Margarine 150 grams
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. Icing sugar for decoration
  5. Plums 500 grams
  6. Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  7. Baking powder for the test 1.5 teaspoons
  8. Natural yogurt 5-6 tablespoons
  9. Egg 1 piece
  10. Egg yolks 3 pieces

Step 1: prepare the dough.

Sift the flour and mix it with sugar and baking powder. Add margarine softened at room temperature and chop the dough with a knife, stirring. Add eggs and yogurt, mix well, wrap in a bowl, pack in plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 minutes.

Step 2: make a cake.

Divide the chilled dough into two parts.
Put one half on a baking sheet covered with parchment, flatten and form the edges-sides.

Place the plums, cut in half, on the dough and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Roll out the remaining dough and cut into strips. Lay the dough over the plums with a net and sprinkle cinnamon in the holes that are formed.

Step 3: bake a plum shortbread cake.

Bake the cake in preheated until 190 degrees oven for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Let the cake cool, garnish it with icing sugar and serve.

Step 4: serve the plum shortbread cake.

Cut a shortcake with plums into pieces and serve with tea. Can with ice cream. Delicious!
